Random Shots and Lots of Fun

The first shot is friend Amy (fellow teacher on maternity leave) with her daughter in the front pack AND holding my son Zac. We have been taking lovely, long, sun filled walks downtown...on an average of 2-3 times per week. We really try and try to not buy things but we are always guilty of some shopping that we need not do! (We will never post least our spouses find out!) But be sure that the lady who works the ice cream counter knows us and knows what we like! Hee hee! It has been an amazing 2 months with Amy and Baby Gracie...walking, talking, laughing, nursing, changing diapers, playing and listening to our babies! Thanks a bunch Amy! I will miss our times together when I have to return on Monday! (Thank goodness it will only be for half time, for now) More to blog about that later...

Pumpkin Patch

The sun was shining, there were a ton of pumpkins, the pumpkin canon shooting out the pumpkins, kids were laughing, faimlies were happy...it was a great day at the pumpkin patch! I love this fall weather we are having.

Fresh and Clean and Super Cute

Here are my boys, fresh from the bath/shower and enjoying each other's company. I had to put in the obligatory naked buns shot. I love their talking to each other. They are so nice and sweet! I am sure there will be many other conversations over the years that will not be as nice...I will save this clip to remind them how to be nice! I love my boys!

Smoke'in Hot!

Those are my two boys smoking some meat! Researched jerky recipes, hours of marinating and many more hours of watching the smoker closely! They are so proud! After about three different batches they found a great recipe and the jerky turned out really, really yummy!

Official Soccer Post

I thought I had better post some soccer pictures (all the other moms are doing it) before I:
a) forget
b) lose the pictures on my camera
c) CJ checks my blog and wonders where he is
d) all of the above

And since I have been laying low at home with baby I have not been to but one soccer game this season...Note: I nursed on the sidelines one time and do not want to repeat that in the sun or (please NO) in the rain. With the season coming to a close I knew I had better act fast! So, without further delay here are the soccer pictures! Yeah!!! Go Thunder!!!!

Birthing Class Reunion

We had a small gathering at Fast's house to show off our babies, eat, drink and swap baby stories. Molly and Ty have beautiful Maya who has the most beautiful eyes and is already sporting the model-type body! She is so long! They also just live right down the street. Amy and Greg have equally beautiful baby Gracie who is a great friend of Zac's. Other couples in our birthing class: baby Ava (who I've heard is also a beautiful baby) but they were unable to visit this time and baby Mayan who is a strapping young boy! We didn't do a reunion with our 8 year old CJ, so it was fun this time around with our 2nd to do something we have not done before.

Ready for the Candy

My Seeeestor wanted to paint a Halloween bowl for her candy and I thought it was kind of a...well...not so great idea. Until...I thought of putting Zac's feet in the bottom of a bowl and painting it for MY Halloween candy. (See how we roll around here? hee hee) Anyway, she snapped this picture of my bowl for me. What you can't see are the broad orange stripes on the outside of the bowl and the black dots around the rim. (This is yet-to-be-fired btw) Zac's feet didn't turn out perfect, but they are great to me!

That is what my friend Audrey said when I asked if I could post some pictures of her new baby Powell. I thought it was classic Audrey and worth a title spot on my blog. Enjoy the newest edition to Zac's circle of friends. Apparently Zac does not mind someone screaming in his ear. Yeah!

Two Cute

This would be my very cute Zac and his good friend Gracie...dressed in their finest Bolivian sweaters from Auntie Miranda! I laughed at this picture and couldn't decide to call it "Two Cute" or "Angry Eyes and Wide Eyed". The things we put our kids through!

In the Dentist's Chair

I thought after blogging so much about the little one I would tell a bit about my big boy. CJ has to get sealants yesterday and his performance in the dentist's chair was beyond "mature"! I am so proud of him. He gave the occasional thumb's up and tried to even smile with bite guards, gauze, instruments in his mouth and the docs telling him what to do. He is such a great kid! Love him!!!!

5 weeks on 41 weeks

Here is Zac sitting on Powell...little does Powell know he was due to arrive in late September, but here we are in early October and still waiting for him. Mama to Powell was nice enough to let me put Zac on her very tight, very large and please-don't-touch-my-belly pregnant belly! We are all awaiting his arrival!
