Halloween 2010

After running my second 5K (see my other blog, The Journey), taking a nap then doing bills I was soooo ready to sit on the couch and relax!  Ha!  At that moment (the moment I thought I would be able to sit down) three families walked in the door.  The Ryan's, the Jones' and The Petersen's with all their kids and all were dressed up!  It was a very fun night, very fun night indeed. 

Come Together, Right Now...

Where did this month go?  It seems just like yesterday that I was celebrating my sister's birthday...that was the 3rd!  Yikes. 

As a month like this goes by I have to wonder; did I appreciate everyday as much as I could?  Did we ever slow down and look up and around?  Was the family time we spent together quality and loving?  Is what I am doing day to day worthy of weeks, months...years of sometimes not remembering? 

Basically, is it all coming together?

The Kids Came for a Visit

Taylor and Cole came for a visit!  (I have no pictures!)

They showed up later Friday night and we played, laughed, ran around and finally slept.  They were excited to see CJ and Zac...and cousin laughter and games went on into the night.

Saturday was hectic!  CJ had a football game and Uncle Troy took the boys to pizza and bought them a ton of bouncy balls.  Taylor had her own soccer game and played endlessly with Zac...chasing him and tickling him and bathing him! Thanks Tay.

Taylos is a very tall, absolutely gorgeous, athletic and very smart young lady.  She is sweet with her cousins and funny with her auntie.  I cherish the time we had living in the same town for so many years and now I CHERISH the days and even sometimes (sniff) hours we get to spend together...and to hear her laughter.

Cole is my sweet, sensitive and caring nephew.  He is tall, athletic and so kind to Zac...they LOVE each other soooo much.  Cole and CJ (only months apart) share a friendship and cousin love like brothers.  They grew up together and when they get to spend a day or even an hour together they make the most of every single second.

Zac calls Taylor, TayTay and Cole, Doh-Doh.  So stinkin' cute!

Go Fly a Kite

So, August was a very busy and somewhat stressful month...then came September...equally busy, stressful and just well, really, really stressful.  It seems hardly any time was spent as a whole family.  We were all just going in so many different directions. 

So, when we heard the sun was going to be shining at the beach, we just had to go!  The sun sparkled on the water, the sun was bright, the sky was blue, the sand was warm and we had a wonderful, fantastic and much needed time as a family!
