Fall 2011

CJ started school...as a middle-schooler!  He is officially a 6th grader and loving every minute of being challenged, being with friends and being in a big school.

Halloween was a blast.  All the family and friends stopped by for candy and Carlos took the kids around the block with the Ryan family.

Thanksgiving was nice at my sister's house. Troy brought the most yummy prime rib and we had enough food to last us for weeks! 

Somewhere in between these wonderful crisp days of fall we spent time out at the Morton's and Zac got some great rides in with Nate and CJ got to ride a 4-wheeler all by himself!

Football for CJ

It turned out to be a great season for our 6th grader.  He received the Sledgehammer award for Best Defensive Play.  I was at almost all the Saturday games...in the parking lot selling football apparel!  Fun times for the football-mom.

40th in Mexico

Because going to Vegas in April AND then having a fabulous 40th birthday with one of my best friends AND getting a tatoo...well, they were just not enough to celebrate my 40 years of life on this planet...I went to Mexico with friends from college.  Best. Fun. In. The. Sun. 

Bikes and Swinging

Zac and CJ and Carlos did a lot of bike riding this summer.  Zac loved riding his bike, but also loved riding on the tag-a-long with his dad.

Mimi got Zac a wonderful swing for her backyard.  Love!

This year was our first summer on the river without Jake.  He was a lovely man with a heart of gold and will be missed.  The river misses him.

Well, I have been spinning around on this planet for 40 years.  It has been a great ride. 

The night before I turned 40...as in I was still 39 years old...I ran into some old(er) friends heading to their class reunion.  We had to celebrate of course!
